Chaos by Coltrane. Putting (and breaking) the rule in unruliness!

You Don’t Know Jack!

And more than likely, you don’t. Know my Jack that is. Heh! However, this damn name keeps popping up everywhere now that I’ve got this character running around with the same name.

There’s Jack Bauer from “24.” And Captain Jack Sparrow from Pirates of the Carribean.

Of course, there’s famous Jack’s. Jack Kennedy. Jack Benny (comedian). Jack Paar (first host of the Tonight Show in the early 60’s). John Ritter’s character, Jack, from “Three’s Company.” Actors Jack Klugman and Jack Lemon. James Garner’s brother is named Jack.

AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! It’s freakin’ everywhere. In fact, it’s apparently so popular right now that when I was updating the resource links over on DOHFF recently, one of the links is to the baby namer section of AmericanBaby.com. And guess what? They had a little dissertation about the name Jack.

Maybe I’m just noticing it more because of working with the character. But it seems exessively more this time around than anything I’ve come across with the name MaryAnne. There are, at least, two songs that feature the name MaryAnne. There’s “Maryanne” by the Four Seasons and “More Than a Feeling” by Boston.

The first song that comes to mind for Jack is Ray Charles’ “Hit the Road Jack.”

Hmmm…I wonder if Brian put that one in the jukebox at the Jigsaw…
